Temperate Pinguicula

You'll find both warm-temperate and cold-temperate butterworts here! Warm-temperate species like the southeastern US plants like hot summers and mild, but distinct, winters with little to no frost but cool weather. Cold-temperate species either form hibernacula or simply halt growth to ride out icy conditions under snow cover, and expect a very cold, long winter rest.
