A corpse flower of moderate proportions, this species won't get gigantic like the famed monsters, and not even quite as big as A. konjac the most common species. Rather it can pretty easily be fit in a gallon sized pot, where its spreading tuber offshoots may reach through but not get wedged. Leaves reach up to around 2 feet tall and of similar width, with a simple, slightly spotted petiole color, and the flowers are up to about 20 inches tall and a pale creamy green with a large, green-yellow spadix in the center. The odor can be rank for a day or two but usually not described to be as powerful as most other species.
Available tubers are small to medium-sized, some with offshoot branches.
