The rarer of the two perennial Rainbow Plants from southwest Australia, this species is nearly identical to B. gigantea but has a differently textured seed and has slightly less of a branching habit. Plants grow up to 2 feet high, and either grow year-round in moist soils or die back to a woody stem during dry seasons, resprouting with rains.
Seeds require a 4-5 day soak in 1,000 ppm GA3 solution in order to germinate, or similar treatments with smokewater.
