First described as the Rhadamanthus platyphyllus, before being likely lumped into the Drimia genus, this small South African bulb is allied with some of the smallest bulb-forming plants in the world, is rather recently described only a decade ago...and has very little information about it all around. Slightly damp, well-drained gravelly soils do well for them, and they form flat semi-succulent pairs of leaves on the surface. Flower stalks are thick and sport several delicate whitish or yellowish blooms, before going dormant during the summer dry season.
Available plants are between 1-2.5 inches in diameter, with bulbs 0.5-1 inch in length.
