A rare, sometimes difficult to grow cold-temperate sundew from northern North America, this species develops upright clumps of long, slender leaves similar to those of a cape sundew, but skinnier and only reaching 2-4 inches tall. Plants are typically green but can flush red under strong lighting, and flower stalks are short and bear small, white, self-pollinating blooms. Plants require heavy feeding during their short growing seasons to gain size and have energy to produce flowers and seeds, and only grow for a couple months at a time before going dormant (their natural seasons may be only 3 months of summer and 9 months of winter dormancy). Seeds require 6-10 weeks of cold stratification to germinate, and seedlings can take several growing cycles to reach maturity.
Packets contain approx. 20-30 seeds each.
