A somewhat larger but also slower to reproduce plant than the typical version, this locality develops flat rosettes averaging 1.5 inches but can reach almost 2, with semi-slender strap-shaped leaves with slightly broadened lamina tips. Coloration is yellow-orange, to red under strong light. Flower stalks are slender, wiry, with widely spaced self-pollinating pink blooms; seeds seem to be relatively sparse on this form, so it's not a plant that spreads quickly.

Packets contain approx. 30-50 seeds each.
