The true species, not a hybrid or mislabeled spatulata. This southeast-Asian highland species is a finicky grower, prone to sulking when disturbed or if conditions get too warm, and best grown as an intermediate to true highland plant under strong light. Plants develop erect to semi-erect rosettes up to 3 inches across of baseball bat-shaped leaves, sporting slightly hairy petioles and oblong lamina. The stipules of this species are a characteristic reddish hue between the leaf bases, and the leaves are green to almost solid red under full sun. When happy, thick flower stalks bear several self-pollinating, fairly large white flowers.
Available plants are semi-mature to mature, 1.5-2" in diameter (colony shown in last image).
