A rare member of the often giant deaniana-complex from the Philippines, this species fits the description with adult plants sometimes reaching more than 3 feet across (though with relatively short stems), sporting broad elliptical leaves and pitchers that are often roughly sized and shaped like a football. Traps are ovate or slightly funnel-shaped and usually sport a distinctive tall neck, and a peristome with moderately sized teeth rimming the interior. Uppers are rare, smaller, and more funnel-shaped. This clone tends to produce very rich red-maroon traps.
Available plant is approx. 2.5" in diameter.
