Commonly known as the Scurfy Pea, this is a wildflower native to much of the interior US, across the Great Basin and Plains and just into the woodlands to the east. Plants can grow to over 3 feet high in some cases, developing spindly branching bushes of short oblanceolate leaves and numerous stalks at the branch tips sporting sometimes dozens of small, lavender to electric violet pea-like flowers. each flower will develop a pod containing a single seed.

Packets contain approximately 20 seeds; may benefit from cold stratification or scarification of the seeds to germinate, or simply patience after sowing.
