Collected from plants that grow wild on our property in Platteville, this is a Colorado native but can be found through much of the Great Plains and into the mountain foothills. Seeds germinate after a cool winter stratification and like sandy, well-drained soils. Mature plants tend not to get much more than 12-18 inches tall, and in mid to late spring, early summer on a prolonged season, will reward you with some of the most electric to sky blue flowers you will ever see in your life, tinted with hints of pink or lavender.
