this is a Pacific Northwest endemic subspecies of the "horned butterwort" that grows as rosettes averaging 3-4 inches in diameter (in some conditions up to 6) when mature, with ovular broad leaves that tend to remain bright green in my conditions, but in nearly full sun can develop a rusty red-brown flush. Flowers can vary somewhat in color, from pale purples with dark highlights near the throat to brilliantly purple throughout with a paler corolla tube behind the dark collar. Plants do go dormant, dying back to dense hibernacula and expecting a minimum of 3 months of cold temperatures when they do this.
Available plants are newly maturing plantlets between 1-1.5" in diameter; colony selected from shown in last image.
