A brand new seed-grown hybrid release, a cross between two large, dark purple-flowered plants that show a lot of promise! Both parent species can exceed 7 inches in diameter, and the offspring are showing the macrophylla trait of distinctive petioles behind the broad flat leaves. Plants undergo a nearly true dormancy when in winter dry season, dying back to little more than a bulb with a tiny "hat" of succulent leaf tips. Flowers are as yet unknown, but likely to have brilliant high contrast violet and lavender or white markings.
Available plants are approx. 0.5-1" in diameter, may or may not arrive in winter state.
