his strange African succulent is perhaps best known by its two common names Giant Starfish Flower and Carrion Plant. The fuzzy green stems can reach almost an inch in diameter and about a foot tall (shorter when in strong sun), usually with four corners lined with upward-curved fleshy points. If the stems break, the pieces will readily callous and start resprouting new roots and offshoot stems that form new plants. When happy, they will also seasonally form balloon-like buds that eventually open up into massive, up to 10 inch diameter star-shaped flowers colored peachy with mottled red lines and covered in fuzzy hairs. The blooms pack a rotten punch, but are weird enough to be worth keeping around.
Available plants are semi-mature to mature divisions, with at least 3 branches (pictured).
