This bladderwort vies for the title of largest traps in the genus, with some capable of reaching almost half an inch across, and tends to live in the urns of bromeliads in the wild; in cultivation, sopping wet containers of loose sphagnum tend to do well. Leaves may reach 6-8 inches tall, topped with spoon-shaped lamina. Though I have yet to convince mine to bloom, flowers can be impressively large at over 2 inches tall, with a sweeping purple skirt and bright yellow-and-white palate patch.
Available plants will be plugs taken from the parent colony.
